6 days before Christmas, as the rain poured down, the City of Chico issued a Cease and Desist letter to Safe Space Winter Shelter regarding their use of the old 7-11 downtown for intake.

Chico PD Sued Again, Mark Bass, who has killed two citizens in the line of duty, party to yet another excessive use of force lawsuit … and still on the job.

Ballots went out this week and it's never been more important than it is now to support these candidates.

They will work for a better Chico for all of us, not just a handful of wealthy developers. Their priorities include better roads, more affordable housing, protecting our parks and waterways, and helping us build a more climate and fire-resilient city, all things we desperately need. The school board candidates will work to ensure that our children get an excellent education and have a level playing field and opportunities to succeed.

We’re calling it now - The City Council Majority is going to move forward with a district map that splits up communities to give extremist right wing incumbents an unfair advantage.

CALL TO ACTION: Email City Council asap or show up to speak this Tuesday evening! Voice your support for good district maps that keep communities whole, and speak out against gerrymandered maps.
