Our local newspapers and journalists are under attack. Local right-wingers, taking a page from trumps playbook, attacking journalists and the print media on a regular basis - see pics for a few recent examples. Things not going your way? Reporters provide facts that don’t agree with your narrative? “They’re biased!!”
It’s also disturbing to see Natalie Hanson-Ross singled out for their ire…

In the relentless Chico City Council-directed push to get rid of the homeless by evicting them from any and every place they try to sleep or camp, Comanche Creek is the last stand. They have pushed people further out with each eviction, and they intend to get rid of them for good by evicting them from the last place within city limits that people have camped.
Until we have a legal, sanctioned place for people to camp and a variety of shelter options, not to mention enough shelter for the people who need it, these evictions must be halted.

Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) filed suit against the city of Chico on Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Sacramento. LSNC previously warned the city they were out of compliance with the law and faced potential litigation back in January.

Ever seen that joke office sign, "The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves?" It was amusing until we realized it’s the actual strategy the City of Chico is putting it into action against the homeless…
