City of Chico Employees Haven’t had a Raise in 11 Years

City of Chico employees, other than Administrative Staff like City Manager Mark Orme and City Clerk Debbie Presson, haven't gotten raises in 11 years.

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.

𝟏𝟏 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞.

While the City Manager, City Clerk and Police Chief all have seen their wages increase regularly, city employees get...nothing.

That includes people like Public Works Department employees. When we have a big storm, they are the ones that get the midnight calls and go address emergency issues, not city administration.

And certainly not the Chico City Council, who likes to brag about what great financial shape the city is in, but also won't fix the damn potholes, let alone give the people who do their literal dirty work a raise.

May be time for local unions to take action.
